Tendon Injury

This horse arrived at Runner's Relief Rehab Center July 23 with a bowed tendon injury. An ultrasound was taken just days after July 26, 2005 to evaluate the percentage of the tear, which according to the vet was approximately 60%. We started the treatment with Runner's Relief Therapy on July 26th and continued treatment for 60 days, then another ultrasound was taken. They showed the tendon was 90% healed. We continued soaking with RRT and on Nov. 10, 2005 another ultrasound was taken showing the tear was completely healed. (see ultrasounds before and after below for reference)
